Humi magazine and the renewal of the field of children's literature

In the Argentine Children's and Youth Literature (LIJ) market, the children's magazine Humi was published between 1982-1983. This magazine generated a great revolution in the field of the LIJ, because, considering the censorship of the civil-military dictatorship, it meant an air of freedom and experimentation, where different writers and illustrators began to create a literature that would be the germ of what what will happen in the democratic rebirth. It was made up of different texts in which humor prevails and with illustrations characterized by the grotesque, aspects that were very attractive to young readers.References
