Fighting culture from the inside: independent artist figure in "Diario del Dinero", by Rosario Bléfari
Keywords:
Rosario Bléfari, intimate journal, writer's journal, independent artistAbstract
This work aims to examine the construction of the figure of the independent artist as a destabilizer of the official culture in Rosario Bléfari's Diario del dinero (2023). To this end, we will conduct a textual analysis of those entries in which the artist's life is recounted, that is, the narration of both the processes of the work itself and the labor and bureaucratic aspects to which she is subjected as a cultural worker. We will resort to the notions of intimate journal (Blanchot, 1969; Barthes, 1986; Pauls, 1997), writer's journal (Giordano, 2006, 2017) and author image (Gramuglio, 1992), which will allow us to explore the ways of life of an artist in the Argentine socioeconomic context in a text characterized by defying generic norms due to, among other issues, the particular arrangement of the entries, not chronologically ordered. The journal allows Bléfari to delineate an image of an independent artist who defies and resists official cultural mandates.References
