UN PASEO POR EL PAISAJE DE BUENOS AIRES EN TINTA CHINA
Keywords:

This paper proposes to demonstrate how Rafael Alberti´s poetry and Atilio Rossi´s drawings interact in order to give visibility to the urban landscape in Buenos Aires en tinta china (Chineses Paintings of Buenos Aires), published in 1951. It analyzes what procedures are behind both the way each one of the foreign artists look at the «porteña» city of Buenos Aires and the criteria used to select the places to which more attention should be given. It also analyses the circumstances in which the similarities and the differences between these artistic expressions are more evident. In addition, it highlights the interdisciplinary relations between fine arts and poetry, since their borders may sometimes be shifting and vague, although they greatly differ in what concerns the techniques and the concepts of space and time that guide each of them. An introduction to basic concepts of aspects linked to this process of recreating images of Buenos Aires will be given in order to indicate the critical and theoretical references in which the study is based and then fragments of the poems and the drawings will be compared.Downloads
