Abstract

Argentine writer, poet and linguist Ivonne Bordelois has been a collaborator for Sur magazine from 1960 to 1982. She handed in reviews to appear in «Notas bibliográficas» (the outstanding part of the bimonthly periodical), as well as essays and chronicles. She has lately brought Victoria Ocampo’s (1890/1979) work back to public attention through her book Victoria, paredón y después. This article previews a conversation with the 90-year-old Bordelois, who looks back on the work routine at the famous 20th century Argentine magazine, and sheds light on the possible reasons for its later decline.
