Utopia as urgency: current forms of resilience in a queer novel
Keywords:

This paper presents and analyzes the third publication of Argentine writer Nicolás Colfer, the queer novel La reina del Paraguay (2024), with the aim of postulating its relevance to the corpus of Argentine utopian/dystopian literature located in the delta already studied by Pérez Gras (2023). The presence in this work of both utopian desires in the characters and utopias realized with different results is highlighted. Based on personal communications from the author, a comparison is made between the ending that the novel had in its first version and the ending chosen for the present edition. This allows us to consider the relevance of utopian thought today and the contributions that can be made to it from queer literature.References
