Abstract

Nos proponemos estudiar una magnífica narración poco conocida que toma por sorpresa y cautiva a muchos lectores, incluso hoy en día. A partir de una cita extensa del capítulo 1 de esta novela, y limitándose principalmente a ese capítulo, este trabajo destaca la belleza en la escritura y la complejidad de su construcción mediante el análisis de tres recursos estilísticos: el cronotopo, la puesta en abismo y la metalepsis.De esta manera, buscamos atraer a los lectores y fomentar el trabajo de investigación sobre los tópicos planteados en la obra de Malcolm Lowry, temas que son de amplio interés en los tiempos que vivimos.
